It's Monday...

Usually I love Mondays.  One of the perks of freelancing.  This Monday though, I feel as though I should take the day and sleep it away.  LOL if such an action wouldn't cause me to have one of those "too much sleep" headaches, I probably would.

The weekend was good sales wise for breedables in SL.  Had a big KittyCats sale, along with a decent amount of regular sales.  Added 2 weeks pay to the rented parcel, purchased some new KC and birthed them to go with some I birthed from my specials and breeders, and got enough food for all for two weeks.

Still no word about a spot at Too Adorable, but hopefully I have enough breeding to supply my home KC store, the Tiger Rose cottage, and the Too Adorable one when it happens.  Added bengal snows in - they're common and not my top choice, but found one with the quad mysterious traits which is my thing.  And my tawnies gave a fire lynx coat and I found a decent traited one to match it so those are added in.

I've built up 10 Survival epic trait crates for market, so picked up the one group before they're done deseeding.  The male at market only has 3 seeds left so I'll wait for him to be done before picking that set up.  I did move Gwen's Desire, my favorite gift from Gwen over to the other epic zeonies.  She's one of the best producers so won't store her until she's deseeded for sure.

In zeonies, I'll do current epic specials and then trying to get the 10Ts on them.  My highest traits were Arctics so birthed a set of those.

I'm ten over on my prim count budget on BB, but no worries.  I've decide to let someone else do the min pins and will be selling my 2nd gen babies.  They're wonderfully done and super nice, but just not my thing.  On the small dogs, it's chis and pugs, so I'm just going to keep working those.

Kitty is too big for her britches...

mid-week update

The big store parcel is almost cleaned up now.  Just a few breedables and favorite non-breedable animals playing on the space until the last few days run out.

Breedapets - boring.  Going to just have to wait and see if this business venture of theirs works out better later on.  One thing I see is that they're kicking out the different animals at a fast pace.  Too fast for quality control it seems.  Think I like how other creators take one species/breed at a time and perfect it completely before going on to the next.  Makes for a longer wait, but at least what you get has some good value to it.

My raptors got pregnant.  That was good...didn't have to purchase something extra for them.  What wasn't so good is that there was nothing visible in their stats to let me know for sure that they were working up to getting pregnant.

Right now, movement sucks.  There's no realistic movement action.  Like pictures of the animals gliding around.  Well, mostly.  I did see the giraffe's tail swish a bit.  And the lions sink into the ground.

I'm sure these issues will all be corrected with time, so I'll keep an eye on them.  They may be an option for me in six months.  Think Smmu's going to play with the squirrels for awhile.  I may keep the UFOs for a bit, just for kicks.

Keeping my pair of Amaretto horses going for a bit too.  May add another mare in if the mood suits me.

Still waiting on Too Adorable, so I took a spot on Tiger Rose for the KittyCats.  Hoping my retired specials find new homes.  May have to store them for next winter if they do not.

BB is uneventful today, probably because I had good stuff over the weekend.  But those sold, so I may be pulling from my stash or stands for tomorrow's auctions.  7 crates so far today and only one works for auction criteria, a 3T white pug.  Not sure if I'll sell or hang on to it yet.  This epic couple has had two so far and thrown a 3T each time.  White and Black coat - ears, eyes, and shade traits with them.  Babies from this pair may have good potential.

Still can't get anything but the dad's shown coat from the min pins.  Debating on if I need to add a male to the mix of ones I'm keeping or just shoot for Fawn with good traits for them.  Giving them two more generations before I decide on them.  They're not my favorites...think I'd rather go back to shaded huskies.

Back to work, such as it is today.  Crappy weather settling in so brain isn't there...my back's been cramping so spending a lot of time with therapy exercises, and the arm nerve is throbbing...really messing with my goals today!

Monday update

Can't quite get my BB numbers to work the way I intended.  So, keeping the market corrals and the secondary parcel both.  Right now I'm getting enough in to pay for things, so I should be okay.

Hopefully I can keep up enough auctions per week to play.

Still waiting to get the cottage at Too Adorable.  Tempted to take one at Tiger Island too.

Some really good drops today.  5T white shiba male that's really cool, another 8T Arctic Zeony and a GS with double rainbow, summer and blush.

The not so cool was a Colorado from my rosa.  Not sure where the colorado coat came from, but it's a 4t rosa bred to a 4t blanco ciel and the colorado was only 2T.

Weekend update...

No sleep last night...hubby away all day for daughter's house repair needs.  I stayed home to rest, but am restless and bored... LOL But too tired to do anything and trying to rest up for the major work I need to get done this week.

Anywho... My megapuss ended up being the smallest of the megas, which I think means it isn't ride-able.  The menu doesn't give the option to me.  But I love her anyway.  She's cool.

My home parcel's transformation is complete and now my main store for KittyCats.  I'm next on the list for Too Adorable spot, so hoping soon.  When that happens I think I'm going to birth six more and try to work the KittyCats more.

Going to keep our secondary parcel and just let the big one go.  The secondary parcel will be for Smmubert's and I breedables and our personal salesyard.  Going  to forgo market corrals for BBs and let them run out.  Just sell our crates and such on our own salesyard like we used to to at Cabera.  Xtra cheap.

Haven't decided what I'm doing for BB auctions...probably will make that decision after tomorrow's auction at The Farm.  There is a chance I'll switch to Kittycats auctions for awhile and give BB a rest.

The building bug has me again.  And loving it.  Both in SL and IW.

RL is going good.  Some careful planning needed now....

On the last week of lands...

So, I've been kind of playing with some betas while waiting for my land rent to wind down.

Trying the Breedapets out because they have elephants.  They've got a ways to go, but the creators seem to be working their butts off on creation and updating.

So far, what I've found on the betas (at 3 days of age):
Raptors - pretty good look and sound to them.
Quail - kind of missed the mark here - they look like mynas and sound like kookaburras
Dog - not sure - it's cute, but text says wolf and they look like beagle
Cat - got a long ways to go before competing with KittyCats or even Wildwood, which I don't know if it's in business anymore
Hamsters - kind of cute - more fantasy based in color than realistic
Alien UFOs - yeah, got those yesterday when they came out - they look fun - may have to keep a few around if I have the room for kicks

The food pricing and usage seems really good.
Not sure if English is their second language or if they just cannot write, but the notecards are poorly written.  And there needs to be more information in them to be complete.

It seems that they're doing beta at the same time as development beta work.  As I said, they seem to be working hard, so it's worth keeping an eye on them and see where this gets them in six months.

Still no word on a space at Too Adorable sims.  Beginning to think I'll just have to get space elsewhere.  I did set up a KittyCat pet store at my home parcel.  But did want a good market spot for the more expensive stuff.

I did birth my megapuss.  Had a teacup to match her for a mate.  LOL

Got a starter coat min pin with two traits from my group.  Bought another female to go with my male too.  Doubt I'll buy more until I heaven a starter to replace with it.  They're having a rough market start.  But I remember another breed that did too, and it got a lot of attention in sales after the first two weeks of births.  Maybe min pins will too.  Since they're so much like the dobermans, I don't think it will last long.  I'm just keeping them long enough to make sure Ozzie didn't sneak a surprise goody in there...was hoping for a new coat, to be honest, and fear I'm going to be disappointed.

Got him!

Got my min pin back at full fervor where he should be and we're pg.  Whew!  BB rocks again.  48 hour turn around time is not bad.  Especially considering I was expecting longer with all the mayhem these restarts caused this week.

His name is Rollback now. LOL

Didn't feel sociable, didn't feel in the mood for building, and was totally bored last night.  Was in one of those moods.  So went scouting for something different to play with.

After I birthed two of my Amaretto bundles...got lucky.  First two came out male and female so I stopped there, for now.  Have leftover food so figure may as well use it up.

Then I went looking around...found breedapets cause they have elephants and I'm into those.  Looks like a one man operation, still much in beta mode for most part.  I joined the group and took about five beta packs to test out...none were the elephants.  If the betas work, I'll get a few elephants to breed for fun.  Their prices seem reasonable.

A Cold, a little boredom, and loads of paperwork

This week was heavy paperwork week for me, but I got the last two quarters reports out to the people needing them.  So I'm really ahead.

Which is good, cause I'm game bored at the moment.  Just a phase.  Adjusting to being able to have my windows open again, which is distracting.  And my sister gave me her cold.  I really didn't want it.  LOL

Thinking about birthing four or six more kittycats...thinking about it.  Still waiting to get a spot at Too Adorable and hoping SL doesn't eat my message and I miss getting one.  Ran ads four times a day for two days on the KC boards for my place and no visitors, so I really need a spot.  Guess I can just take a spot in the mall and hope for the best when my rent's up.

Got two weeks left, so need to be patient.

I'm not good at that.  SL froze my male min pin bad, so he was sent in yesterday.  Had hoped for a 24 hour turn around, but think they're overloaded by the sounds of it.  I'm going to be way behind on my min pin breeding it seems.  He's got three girls at 100% waiting on him.  Kind of bummed about that.

Missing my SL family....I need to do some connecting with them this weekend.

Wednesday update...

My kittycats threw a megapuss.  Since it seems they're going to start throwing stuff I can sell, I'm moving them to market.  I have my name on the waiting list now for next opening on one of Too Adorable sims.  Megapuss's are out for 1-8K, depending on breeding and traits.  Think mine fits within the mid-range, so will put it out for that.  Also, putting my diamond jewel out for 5K.

Kind of hope the megapuss sells pretty quick...so tempting to birth it and raise it to ride, just to see what it's like.  LOL  If my white russians or 4XMysterious crew give me one worth breeding, I may just do that.

Takes me about two minutes to check my BB now, which is probably good.  I'm so RL busy so need to keep taking my break.  Chapters to write, websites to create, and two more books came in from authors for reviews.

The typing is rough.  May need to break out my Dragon Speaking software.   My nerve in the arm flares up with just this much typing now.  I'll do the therapy exercises twice a day so maybe I can keep work up.

For a brief moment I thought about dipping into my Amaretto reserves and birthing a few bundles.  This was after a tp crash.  Right after I looked at my bundles in inventory, debating it, my viewer totally froze and never came back.  I had to force it to close.  Seems that SL still doesn't really want me to play.

That's okay.  After Amaretto gets through their beta at Inworldz we're going to play with a few there...not as involved as before, just a few to put together our ranch and ride.  Some others have made horses there too, but they're not near as nice as Amarettos.  Even my non-breeding ones I picked up to do until then aren't too hot, even though they're nice enough.

Hoping by fall they'll have beta started and done.  Fall time I look at what my schedule will allow me to do.  That's when we're going to start doing conventions at the rate of 3 or 4 a year.

Not much on BB to report.  My babies are doing okay....getting 3 and 4T from the prime dogs, so happy.  Wasn't too thrilled a Summer epic couldn't sell at 1K.  That's really not much for an epic that's been unavailable for 3/4 a year.  She went back out direct for 1500L and I set an extra Zulu for 2500L.  Ain't giving them away cheap...they'll sit until they sell, which is fine with me.

Semi-Retirement coming for Issis

Bored and more bored with Second Life.  I may be an introvert in Real Life, but it seems that I'm tied more to RL socializing than SL.  Of course, I'm also a person who loves the outdoors and I've been suffering cabin fever.  Spring fever.  Whatever.

This weekend was wonderful weather and I totally lacked the desire to go inworld.  Think it's telling me something.  Today was the same.  Usually I do the ranch work while waking up the little grey cells with my first cup of coffee.  I kept getting bored and losing the desire to do anything.  Think it's time for a small break.

I've started setting things up towards the time when I'll only need to check things on Auction days, a few times a week.

And anxious to cut my inventory way down to the essentials.  So, I've set all at my store location to 0L - biobreeds and products both.  I'll be setting it up so that when I get the building bug I can build the product and upload it to marketplace.

I'm happy with this plan, and it seems that SL is too.  It still kept giving me performance issues this morning.

Wish Biobreeds all the luck in the world, but backing off as a major player now.  SL's performance is too crappy and I have a great connection with a really good computer...it's NOT my end, although they would say so.  Because they don't understand their own system enough to know how to make it work properly.  I game a lot, but think I'll spend most of my time on the games that work better than SL.

Do hope there's a Catznip viewer update coming soon and that they stay around.  It's the only one that works 1/2way decent.  Like many others, I may out of the game if I'm forced into Firestorm or SL viewer.  My alt on the laptop takes CoolVL right now to work...at least for as long as it's available...the laptop's old and crappy so wouldn't be able to handle the other viewers.

My kittycats are still out at their normal pricing.  Probably going to try to get a marketplace stand for them and try to decide how many to keep running of those.  They only need checking on every 10 days to see what they've thrown.

One gave me a diamond jewel last week.  My first one in a year's worth of breeding.  Pretty cool.  I have it out for sale for 7500L, same as others at market when I went snooping.  Could keep it and see if I get more, but need 10 to turn in for a special kitty.  Don't think that will happen, and I'm not a person to invest 75K on a pixel kitty.  LOL  Let someone who is buy it instead.
